About
Why KosherAgent exists.
Most AI products today require a smartphone, an internet connection, and a willingness to install another app. A large part of the Orthodox Jewish community deliberately limits or avoids smartphone use — for spiritual, family, and community reasons. The result: a generation of capable, demanding users who get left behind by every shiny new tool.
KosherAgent meets people where they already are: on a phone call. Any phone with dial tone — landline, dumb phone, kosher phone, smartphone — can reach a real assistant that handles real tasks. No app. No installation. No internet on the user's side.
Our values
- Voice-first. A phone call is the universal interface. We optimize every line of code for sub-second voice latency and zero friction.
- Community-rooted. Built with rabbinic and community input. We respect Shabbos and Yom Tov by design. Content is filtered to community standards by default — and configurable per household.
- Private by default. Each household member has their own private state. Voice data is encrypted, briefly retained, and never sold or used to train AI models.
- Real humans available. When the AI gets it wrong or someone needs a person, we route to a human. The AI is the front door, not the only door.
Who we serve
Orthodox Jewish households first — but the design works for anyone whose life is voice-first by choice or necessity: older adults, people with vision impairments, drivers, parents with their hands full. Voice is universal. We just happen to start with the community we know best.
